Mary Louise Burkett, 77, of Mather, formerly of Dry Tavern and Vermilion, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 20, 1999, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
She was born December 22, 1921, in Stoneboro, a daughter of Karl William and Anna Mary Steckler Eitner.
Mrs. Brukett was a homemaker who lived in Dry Tavern most of her life, and lived in Vermilion, Ohio, for the last 15 years.
She was Methodist.
On September 19, 1941, she married Doctor Forrest Burkett, who died June 9, 1974.
Surviving are three sons, David W. Burkett of Lakewood, Ohio, Karl F. Burkett of Arkansas City, Kan., and Ronald L. Burkett of Dry Tavern; two daughters, Patricia Bushta of Clarksville and Deborah J. Burkett of Vermilion; a stepson, Robert Burkett of Prosser, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, David Eitner of Mission, Texas, Karl and Alfred Eitner, both of Akron, Ohio, Fred Eitner of Lorain, Ohio, and Robert Eitner of Florida; and two sisters, Sally Crago of Carmichaels and Alberta Moore of Lorain.
Deceased are a son, Paul J. Burkett; a stepson, Donald W. Burkett; a stepson, Donald W. Burkett; and two stepdaughters, Ruth Snyder and one who died in infancy.
