Mrs. Myrtle G. Hauge, 77, of rural Morris, passed away Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 26, at West Lisbon Church. Pastor Steven Lombardo II and Pastor Steve Larson will officiate.

Interment will follow at West Lisbon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in Morris.

Born Feb. 21, 1933, in Morris, Myrtle was the daughter of Carl and Myrtle (Bydalek) Myers. She graduated from Mazon High School with the class of 1951.

Myrtle married Vernon Hauge on Jan. 24, 1953, at the West Lisbon Lutheran Church. For all of their married life, they farmed in the Lisbon area. For more than 30 years, she was employed with Illinois Bell Telephone Company in Morris and Joliet.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey (Judy) Hauge of Morris; two daughters, Jill (Michael) Morris of Yorkville, Ill., and Teresa (David) Drier of Yorkville, Ill.; grandchildren, Kristi (Christopher) Williams, Kathleen Hauge, Christopher, Joshua, Shannah and Sarah Morris, Alex and Dana Drier, Christina (Keith) Sandor; great-grandchildren, Kayla Williams, Eden, Emma and Keira Sandor; two brothers, Russell Myers and Kenneth Myers; two sisters, Esther (Ted) Struck of Morris and Dorothy Hougas of Morris; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon on Dec. 2, 2008; one grandson, Kevin Hauge on July 30, 2001; and two brothers, Robert and Paul Myers.

She was a member of West Lisbon Church and enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting, sewing and gardening. She enjoyed raising and selling produce for years at the farmers markets in Yorkville and Morris, and she participated in several area craft shows.
