Her parents, Tosha Ubina and Zachary Beach, were awakened by Sunny's five-year-old sister, Katie Mae Teague, screaming "my room is on fire". Jeffery Symmonds, a neighbor, was outside smoking and saw that the trailer was on fire. Jeffery ran to get the family out. Tosha and Zachary were able to get their five-year-old outside but realized neither one had Sunny. Parents and neighbor went back in the trailer to find her in the smoke.
Sunny is survived by her parents, Tosha and Zachary; five siblings, Jordan, 6, Katie Mae, 5, Cameron, 4, Quinton, 3, and Lucas, 2; many aunts; uncles; and grandparents, too.
