January 23, 2005 Donald W. Mowers, 82, of DeRuyter, passed away Sunday at his home. Donald lived in the Lincklaen-DeRuyter area all his life. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Vernetta Upham Mowers; a son, Aaron W.; and a close companion, Anne Saunders. Surviving are his son, Lynn (Kathleen), and daughters, Delores Mowers and Norma (Butch) Mierke, all of DeRuyter, and Marjory (Ron) Friedman of Marathon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
