He was a Veteran of World War l and World War ll and a member of the West Frankfort A.F. and A. M. Lodge 567 and the Masonic Consistory and Shrine of East St Louis. He was also a member of the Central Park Methodist Church in Birmingham.
He leaves his wife LaRue; a son, Thomas, Baton Rouge, LA; a daughter, Elle Margaret Lee, Bristol, TN, Step son, Edward Dempsey, Pekin IL, Half-sisters, Mrs Margaret Walston, West Frankfort, IL and Mrs Arilla Eskirvin of Harvey, IL.
