HONOR BEESONS WITH A BIRTHDAY DINNER
S. H. Beeson and Albert Beeson, brothers, and long time Barry Countans, were honored with a birthday dinner, September 10th at the former's home east of Cassville.
The dinner celebrated the 73rd birthday of Albert Beeson, which had occurred September 4th, and the 83rd birthday of S. H. Beeson, which did not occur until September 16th.
Others present were: Mrs. T. M. Ennig and Roy Beeson of Cassville; Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Pasley of Wyandotte, Okla.; Mrs. John H. Zilliox and son, Carroll, also of Wyandotte, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dilday and daughter, Kay, of Bartlesville, Okla., and Mrs. Edward Warner, formerly Miss Gwendolyn Zilliox, also of Bartlesville, Okla.
Obituary
Mr Beeson has departed this life. He was married to Allie Hull 1 Mar 1886. To this union 6 children were born. His wife, parents, siblings Henry, John, & Mrs. Alice Hicks, preceded him in death.
Mr Beeson leaves to mourn his passing children: Mrs. Nora Norris, Laura, Maude all of IN, Earl, Clarence both of Cassville, & Luther of Pampa TX; siblings: Albert, Mrs. Minnie Ennis both of Cassville & Mrs. Delilah Passley of Wyandotte, OK; 14 grandchildren; plus a host of other relatives & friends.
Mr Beeson was always ready to help anyone in need. He was a firm believer in helping our boys in the service by buying large amount of war bonds.
Mr Beeson was converted at about 20 years of age & united w/the Methodist church. After moving to this county several years ago he united w/the Oak Ridge Methodist church.
Impressive funeral services were conducted at the Oak Ridge church by Rev. Frank Hall, assisted by his niece Rev. Esther Bowers which was his request. Music was furnished by the church choir.
Mr Beeson had enjoyed excellent health for a man of his age until about 4 weeks ago, since then he had been confined to his home. On Wednesday of last week his condition became critical & he was taken to Stella hospital where he passed away 1 week later. All was done that loving hands could do, but God called and he answered. He expressed his readiness to go.
The large crowd & beautiful flowers were a token of the friendship in which he was held. Pallbearers were: Joe Robison, Leo Waltz, Dick Miller, Hoover Hicks, Roy & Everett Beeson.
