Catherine (Kay) DeSautels, age 82, of Isanti passed away on November 22, 2008 at Country Manor Villa in Sartell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, November 25th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Isanti. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Catherine DeSautels was born December 8, 1925 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Jacob and Madeline Schabert. She was united in marriage to Albert DeSautels on June 30, 1945 in Mountainview, California.
Catherine was employed at the Courage Center in Golden Valley and at Turpen Realty in Isanti. She enjoyed living at her lake home and being greeted every morning by whistling birds and striking views of the lake as the seasons change. Catherine excelled in her culinary skills and could out cook the best of them. She was a loving wife, caring mother and the best grandmother ever.
Catherine passed away on November 22, 2008 at Country Manor Villa in Sartell at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 16 days. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Albert DeSautels, daughter, Cherylene DeSautels, two sisters, Rita and Dolores and one brother, Edward.
She is survived by her two sons Daniel (Karen) DeSautels of St. Cloud, MN and David (Jean) DeSautels of Cypress, TX; three grandchildren Jacob (Laurie) DeSautels of Houston, TX, Adam (Melissa) DeSautels of Elk River, MN and Ryan (Keri) DesAutels of Spring, TX; one sister Mary Schabert, CSJ; one brother Richard (Betty) Schabert and many nieces and nephews.
