Born in Auburn, he was a graduate of Elbridge High School and the State University College at Brockport, and a 1974 graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law. He was a lawyer and operated a private practice in Elbridge. He was elected Elbridge town justice in 1973. He was a partner in Coldwell Banker All-Bridge Reality Inc. and a member of the Greater Syracuse Board of Realtors. He was a member of Christ Church of Jordan, Masonic Lodge 386 in Jordan, the Jordan-Elbridge Lions Club, the Greater Elbridge Chamber of Commerce, the Onondaga and Cayuga County bar associations, the Camillus Elks Lodge and the New York State Magistrates Association.
Survivors: His mother, Thelma Gorham of Elbridge; a sister, Cynthia Paddock of Marcellus.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday in Elbridge Community Church. Burial, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Elbridge. Calling hours, 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Gorham home, 5334 Wheeler Road, Jordan. Masonic services are 5 p.m. Sunday at the Gorham home.
