RUBY AUCOIN SERVICE SLATED:
Ruby Aucoin, 69, a native of Silver Lake, Tex,
and a resident of Amelia, died Thursday
morning at her residence in Amelia.
Visitation will be at Twin City Funeral Home
today from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation will
continue Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. at
Twin City Funeral Home to 11 a.m. Visitation
will then continue at St. Philomena Catholic
Church in Labadieville from noon to service
time. A rosary will be said at 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at St
Philomena with burial to follow in the church
mausoleum.
Survivors include her husband, Buford Aucoin
of Amelia; her mother, Lennie Prestidge of
Lufkin, Texas; one son, Spencer Aucoin of
Amelia; one daughter Mrs. Roy (Sharon) Cain
of Labadieville; three brothers, James
Prestidge, Wayne Prestidge, and Larry Don
Prestidge, all of East Texas; five grand-
children, Mrs Kenneth (Tina)Pearce, Gina
Philburn and Mrs Robert (Melissa) Vickers,
all of Lafayette, Mrs Louis (Lisa)
Contreras and Spencer and Becky Aucoin II,
all of Amelia; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father;
James Prestidge and one brother, Edward
Prestidge.
