Frederick William Sobrofski was born 28 Feb 1886 in Germany. He came to the United States about 1889 with his family. They settled in Waukesha, Waukesha County, Wisconsin where he met and married Catherine Helena (Braun/Brown) Smith. They were married on 25 Nov 1916 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waukesha. Fred was an employee of Waukesha Motor Company for over 25 years. Along with helping Cathrine to raise her 7 children, Fred and Cathrine had one son, John "Jack" Sobrofski.
