He graduated from the former Wausau High School and continued his education at the former North Central Technical Institute and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He served in the U.S. Air Force and Army Reserve. He made his career in sales. Russ and Barbara Weber were married Jul 14, 1961, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Rothschild.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Black Bears. Russ was an avid sports fan and crossword puzzle extraordinaire, but his passion was playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Wausau; four children, Sandy (Greg Hoenisch) of Wausau, Laurie (Steven Guerra) of San Antonio, TX, Deborah (Dana Andrews) of North Palm Beach, FL, and Tom (Becky Kyle) of Delaware, OH; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Don (Mary Ann) of Merrill; sister, Joyce Johnson of Menomonee Falls; sister-in-law, Jan of McFarland, WI; other relatives and loads of friends.
