Personal Note: My Aunt Ila Mae was a precious person who was very kind to all of us kids growing up. She loved her family and was devoted to her church at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, Hamptonville, NC. She told us that there was good in all religions and that we should respect different religions. When I got stung by bees, she would administer her sure quick remedy, tobacco juice over the sting. She loved her soap operas and was a great cook, especially the homemade oyster soup.
