"James Meloskefer Helton, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010. He was a network specialist for the state of Tennessee, former Senior Vice President at Pioneer Bank. He loved Alabama football, dancing, and most of all his children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Reynolds; and father, Paul Helton. Survivors include his aunt, Kitty Kendrick; son, John (Julie) Helton; daughters, Connie (Lou) Loeb, of Memphis, Tenn., Ashley Helton, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Anna Helton, Brian (Stephanie) Payne, Hannah Payne, Nick Loeb, Charley Loeb and Whitney Loeb; sister, Kathy Winters; brother, Charles Harris, of Chicago, Ill.; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 20, 2010 at the North Chapel. Visitation will be today from noon until time of the service at the North Chapel.
