Carl B. Jackson, 60, died at 11 p.m. Friday at his home. 213 Riverside Drive, after suffering a sudden heart attack. He had not been in the best health for some time.
Mr. Jackson was born April 5, 1890, in Clear Creek township, to Silas and Elmaira Haley Jackson. He married Lela E. Hare September 12, 1914.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Carol Smith, Huntington; three brothers, Otto D. Jackson, Jacksonville, Fla., Von E. and S. A. Jackson, Clear Creek township, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Goshorn, Fort Wayne.
He was a lifelong resident of the county and lived the last several years in Huntington, the last four years at the Riverside Drive residence. He attended the Congregational Christian church. He was employed at the Jefferson theater the last four years as manager.
The body was removed to the Bailey funeral home where friends may call and where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. John A. Turner officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Funeral services for Carl B. Jackson were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Bailey chapel with the Rev. John A. Turner officiating. Frank Shideler sang, with Mrs. Mary Rowe at the organ.
Pallbearers were n e p h e w s Bruce Jackson. Bryce Jackson, Dale Hare. Fred Hare, Charles Hare, Jr., Clarence Myers. Russell Hare, and John Clevenger.
Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
