Born Dorothy Eileen Sobosley. She chose to use D Bosley as her professional name.

D Bosley Wilder, 88, of Cold Hill, Granby and Block Island, R.I., passed away Wednesday, Feb 9, 2011, at the Calvin Coolidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northampton.
Born in Duquesne, Pa. Aug 18, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Lucot) Sobosley. She received a bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1942 and later earned her master's degrees in philosophy and American literature from Mount Holyoke College and Columbia University in 1946, studied psychology at New York University in 1947 and earned a Certificat d'Etudes from the University of Paris in 1949. She was a teacher, poet, dramatist and journalist. She lived and worked in Asia for 18 years, teaching in various U.S. and international schools. She later taught at Mount Holyoke College, the University of Massachusetts, and at the French American School in San Francisco. She served as the assistant coordinator of the Five College program in Amherst. She directed a wide variety of plays for the community and school theater organizations, as well as writing and producing original plays. In 1976 she conducted a western theatre workshop for the University of Singapore. Ms. Wilder had published poems including "Portraits & Landscapes", "When Things Began to Happen", "The Wind is Mine" and "You Once Had Wings", as well as magazine and newspaper articles and photographs. She worked as a researcher for Time, Inc.
For the past 25 years she had enjoyed traveling and feature writing, also as a poet, playwright, short story and murder mystery writer. She currently served as the travel editor for the Block Island Times and a staff writer for Turley Publications.
Ms. Wilder is survived by her three children, Jonathan, Kerry and Hye-Jin, and her four granddaughters, Brittney, Alexia, Emily and Isabelle.
