George Fink returned to Fremont Tuesday evening. He entered the service March 17, 1944, and left for overseas October 6, 1944. He spent 14 months in European area in the 399th Infantry, 100th Division. He wears the bronze star, victory ribbon, ETO ribbon with 2 bronze stars, a French citation, ATO ribbon, Infantry combat badge, the Presidential unit citation and the Purple Heart for wounds received December 22, 1944. He received his honorable discharge and re-enlisted for 18 months. He is spending a 90-day furlough at home after which he will report at Camp Atterburg for reasignment. This is the first he and his brother Charles, have seen each other for nearly 2 1/2 years
