Obituary: Charles Henry Rodgers, 75, pioneer Ozarks resident, died yesterday afternoon in his home near Halltown following a lingering illness. Mr. Rodgers came to Missouri with his parents when he was only 11 years old and had lived ever since in the Halltown vicinity.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the New Hope Baptist church, the Rev. Lewis Stark of Bolivar officiating. Interment will be in the Ruckman cemetery under direction of the Wallace funeral home of Billings.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Sarah A. Rodgers; eight children, Mrs. Etta Gossett, Mrs. Frances Rill, Allen R. Rodgers and Clarence Rodgers, all of Mount Vernon; John Rodgers and Mrs. Mabel Treat of Halltown and Palmer Rodgers and Miss Alice Rodgers of the home address; two brothers in Idaho, a sister in Kansas and more than 40 grandchildren.
