NATIVE OF OREGON DIES IN THIS CITY

Mrs. Rebecca Ellen Blanton, 78, widow of Isaac Blanton, died today at the home of her daughter, Nora Blanton, 1347 High street, after a brief illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband on January 26, this year, following the celebration of their golden wedding anniversary, November 8, 1925.

Mrs. Blanton was a native of Oregon, born in Marion county in 1853 and had resided in this state her entire lifetime. She was a member of the First Christian church of Eugene.

Survivors include the following: Five daughters, Mrs. G.W. Briggs, Miss Nora Blanton, Mrs. Harry Taylor, all of Eugene; Mrs. R.W. Huff and Mrs. Floyd Griffen of Portland; five sons, E.F., J.W. and M.A. Blanton, of this city; I.N. Blanton of Oakridge and G.H. Blanton of Portland. There are also 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren surviving.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed, and will be announced later from the Veatch chapel. ~~END~~
