A service to celebrate the life of Cathy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 in the chapel at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Charity Horse Show. Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Cathy was born May 30, 1953 in Decatur, Illinois the daughter of Harvey and Evelyn (Springer) Gaskill. Cathy was a Legal and Executive Secretary for many years. She was the Youth Charity Horse Show secretary for 15 years and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Illinois Quarter Horse Association. She was also a member of the Drifted Ladies Red Hat Club in Springfield.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sister; Cheryl "Cheri" Craig and husband Phillip of Trenton, Missouri, nieces; Alexa, Emily, and Andrea, aunt; Alice Clark and husband Bill of Rock Island, and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
