Ralph A. Zumbrum, 68, Dies Near New Oxford

New Oxford – Ralph A. Zumbrum, 68, a retired farmer and State Highway Department employee, died yesterday at 2 p.m. at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shrader, New Oxford RD 2, with whom he resided.
A son of the late John and Sarah Gibbons Zumbrum, he was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Paul’s (Dub’s) Union Church, near Hanover, and Hanover Lodge 227, Loyal Order of Moose. His wife, Mrs. Annie Miller Zumbrum, died in 1937.
Surviving are five children, Albert H., Wilbert W. and Lester L. Zumbrum, all of Hanover RD 2; Richard R. Zumbrum, Hanover RD 1, and Mrs. Earl Shrader, New Oxford RD 2; four grandchildren and four brothers and a sister, Raymond Zumbrum, Hanover RD 3; Ammon and George Zumbrum and Mrs. Howard Shaffer, all of Hanover, and Cletus Zumbrum, Brodbeck RD 1.
Rev. Carl E. Yost, Mr. Zumbrum’s pastor, will officiate at services Monday at 10 a.m. at the Bucher Funeral Home, 269 Frederick Street, Hanover. Interment will be in St. Paul’s (Dub’s) Church Cemetery.
