Obituary of Harry Allen Langston

Harry Allen Langston, 83, of Gulfport, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 in Gulfport.
He served in the Navy in World War II, and in the Army in the Korean War. He was an auto mechanic at Sears and Roebuck Auto Center in Gulfport for twenty years. He was an owner operator in the trucking industry for twenty years.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Long Beach and the American Legion Post 119, Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Janette Langston; his parents, Roy and Inez Langston; his siblings, Roy E. Langston, II, Mamie Huggins, Hubert Langston, and Carrie Jane Morrow.
He is survived by his children, Glen Langston and his wife Janet of Valley Springs, CA, Larry Langston of Saucier, and Grace Ladner of Gulfport; his brother, Robert S. Langston of Hemet, CA; his grandchildren, Sheri Ladner of Garden City, NY, Andrew Ladner of Gulfport, and Harold Langston of Pine Bluff, AR; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until service time on Friday, May 14, 2010 at First United Methodist Church of Long Beach. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm at the church. Burial will follow the service at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens, Long Beach.
Donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach Building Fund, 208 Pine Street, Long Beach, MS 39560.
