Erney C. "Cliff" Runyon,80,of Chatsworth died (January 27,1987) at Greenbriar Lodge in Piper City.His funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Chatsworth United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Chatsworth Cemetery.
Mr.Runyon was born Aug.18,1906, at Randolph,ky. ,a son of B.Elmer and Ida McIntyre Runyon. He married Grace Nance on Aug.4,1934,Joliet,il. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons,Thomas,Mesa,Az.; Erney,Bloomington,Il.; Larry,Forrest; Donald, Richard and Randy all of Chatsworth; four daughters, June Arnold,Roberts; Sandra Garrett,Hudson; Barbara Black,Chatsworth; Mary Hanshew,Chicago; Two Brothers, Billie,Pontiac; Robert,Costa Mesa,Ca.; Three sister, Velma Richardson,Santa Ana,Ca.; Mattie Jacobs,Chenoa; and Hazel Johnson,El Paso; 26 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, two sisters and a grandson preceded him in death.
Mr.Runyon was employed by Rosenboom Plumbing and Heating for 12 years and later by the Town of Chatsworth as water commissioner for 21 years until his retirement in 1977.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Mitchell Arnold, Clint Garrett, Jeffery Runyon, Keith Runyon, Kurt Runyon and Philip Black.
