Henry Weisbrod of Fenton Passes

Dies in Whittemore Hospital, Was Implement Dealer, Brother of Frank of Emmetsburg

Henry P. Weisbrod, brother of Frank Weisbrod of this city, passed away in the McCrery Hospital at Whittmore Sunday night. He was receiving treatment for rupture and infection followed. He was ill for about ten days. He was 55 years of age. The funeral was held in the Fenton Methodist Church yesterday, the pastor officiating. Burial was in the local cemetery. There was a large attendance of relatives, neighbors and old friends.

Mr. Weisbrod was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weisbrod, old residents of Fenton Township. He attended the local schools and grew to manhood in that locality. He was married a number of years ago to Miss Hattie Jackson of Lone Rock. Mr. Weisbrod was engaged in the implement business in his home town for 20 years. He was energetic as well as a capable and economical and he became thrifty. He built up a large patronage. He is survived by his widow and four sons and daughters.

Mr. Weisbrod was a hugh class business man and gentleman and was one of the best citizens of the community in which he spent his entire life. He was a little past manhood's prime but the future seemed bright and promising and success had crowned his efforts. He was at all times interested in community affairs and held numerous positions of responsibility and influence. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. His death is widely and sincerely mourned. Mr. Weisbrod, our fellow townsman, has the sympathy of our many citizens in his bereavement.

He is survived by his widow and four sons and daughters. The youngest is perhaps 18 years of age. Hence is family is well grown. There are two surviving brothers, Fred of Fenton and Frank of Emmetsburg. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Kate Newel, Mrs. Tina Newel and Mrs. W. E. Stoeber all residing in the Fenton community.
