Clayton B. 'BB' Webb of Red Star died May 28, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 24, 1934, at Pine Knob, he was the son of the late Harvey Crocket Webb and Ora Bell Cook Webb. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Marie J. Collins Webb; brothers, Thomas Webb, King Webb and Chester Webb; daughter, Gladys Griffith; grandchildren, Theresa Lynn Hatcher; and a great-grandson, Brandon Gardener.

'BB' enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

He was a retired coal miner and logger.

Surviving: son, Kenneth Kuhn and wife Margie of Eccles; daughters, Mary Derringer of Oak Hill, and Melissa Miklos and husband Michael of Red Star; brothers, Jim Webb of Red Star, and Bob Webb of Red Star; sister, Rena Beckner of Raleigh; grandchildren, Steven Lucas, Eugene Derringer, Larry Derringer Jr., Beth McMillion, Natasha Bennett, "Little" Kenny Kuhn and Priscilla Miklos; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Breanna, Brittany, Travis, Ginny, Savanna, Jacob, Michael, Patricia, Ethan and Michael; and numerous special nieces and nephews as well as a host of family and friends.
Services were June 3 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial followed at the Adkins Cemetery, Naoma.
