This is my paternal Grandmother, daughter of Eustache Gustav GODU [b. 1823] & Rosalie [Rose] BAZINET [b. 1835]. She immigrated to the U.S. from French Canada in 1891. On 1 July 1895 she m. Amedee Jean-Baptiste GAUTHIER [1869-1928]. They had 10 children. Maria Lea was buried in Precious Blood Cemetery, but her casket apparently was one of the unidentified that washed out of the cemetery in 1955 and reburied in St. John Baptiste Cemetery, S. Bellingham, MA in a common grave area with others who were not identified.
