David W.Climans, SR., seventy-eight, of Clymer Hill rd., Clymer, N.Y. formerly of Erie, Pa., died Wednesday night in his home after an extended illness.
Mr. Climans was born Oct. 19, 1884 in Franklin, Pa., son of the late James P. Susan Miller McClimans. He lived in Clymer for the 21 years. Previously, he had lived in Erie, where he owned and operated an auto paint shop for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Bessie (Gue) McClimans, of Clymer; three daughters, Mrs. Fanny Cannon, and Mrs. Neal Stahlman, both of Clymer; Mrs. Harold Baker, of Erie, a son, David McClimans, Jr., of Clymer; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Minnie Hughes, of Pleasantville, Pa.; Mrs. Sadie Cochrane, of Franklin.
Friends are invited to call at the Spitzer Funeral home in Clymer from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 p.m. to 4p.m. and 7p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and attend services there at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev.Elmer Armes, pastor of the Clymer Methodist church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Holland cemetery in Clymer.
