SWINK, Louise Neely, 67, of Lexington, died Friday, November 9, 2001 at her residence. Born June 27, 1934, Mrs. Swink was the daughter of the late John A. Neely and Romanza Kuhn Neely. She was a member of the the New Monmouth Presbyterian Church were she served as Sunday School Teacher and held numerous offices of the W.O.C. including historian and Youth Advisor. She retired from V.M.I. with 21 years of service. Mrs. Swink was also a member of the Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club and a volunteer for the Red Cross. Surviving are her husband, James Edward Swink, Lexington; three sons, Gary W. Swink and wife, Dianne, Lexington, David J. Swink and wife Gail of Swope and John Paul Swink, Lexington; grandchildren, Jeremy W. Swink, Amy Marie Swink, and David Adam Swink; two stepgrandchildren, Crystal and Dustin Campbell; father-in-law, James Adam Swink; brother-in-law and wife, Joe and Edna Swink, Roanoke; sister-in-law and husband, Mary Frances and Delmar Arthur of Rockbridge County; and her sister, Lorraine Keiter of Raliegh, N.C. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Helen Montgomery Swink. Interment services will be conducted Sunday, November 11, 2001 at 4:30 p.m. in the New Monmouth Presbyterian Cemetery with a Memorial service to follow in the New Monmouth Church at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Martin L. Stokes officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Lupus Foundation , P.O. Box 25418, Richmond, Va. or the Presbyterian Children's Home of the Highlands, P.O. Box 545, Wytheville, Va. 24382. Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington is in charge of the arrangements.
