The Rev. Francis O'Rourke will officiate, and burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in the Town of Eldorado. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born in Oshkosh on May 8, 1929, a son of the late Ralph and Esther Yanke Crain. He was graduated from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and married Frances Burk at Menasha on Aug. 27, 1955.
Mr. Crain was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the Army Band. He was a member and past president of Rosendale Lions Club, was awarded Outstanding Fond du Lac County Music Teacher Award, was a member of the Fond du lac Military Barnd and played in various band in the Fond du Lac County area. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Eldorado.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Timothy at home; three sisters, Miss Virginia and Miss Patricia Crain and Mrs. Howard (Mary) Schroeder all of Fond du Lac; and four brothers, Robert of Ripon, Donald of Waupun, Richard of Riverdale, Ga., and James of Neenah. A sister preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Laconia High School.
