KENTON - Word has been received here of the death of Adolph C. Alt, 616 S. Fifth St. in Ironton, at 2:50 a.m. Sunday at the General Hospital there. He had been ill for a few years.
Born June 2, 1892, in Kenton, Mr. Alt was the son of Henry and Ella (Jacoby) Alt. He was construction superintendent for several contracting firms.
He was married to Ethel Matthews, who died in 1946. He later married Rose Nickel, who survives, along with one sister, Hazel Lloyd of Kenton, one niece and one grandnephew. A sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Alt was a member of the American Legion; Elks Lodge of Bedford, Ind.; the Union Lodge 291, F and AM in Scranton, Pa.; and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a World War I veteran.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Schindewolf-Steiner-Stevens Funeral Home in Kenton, Rev. H. E. Pfister officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
