He was born in Watertown on Oct. 7, 1914, to Edward and Martha (Erdman) Baumann.
He farmed in the Town of Portland in Dodge County for most of his life.
Mr. Baumann was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Waterloo and its church council, and was active in many areas of the church for many years. He was the president for the Aid Association for Lutherans branch for 25 years, and on the board of directors for the Pure Milk Producers and Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills.
Surviving are three brothers, Wilbert (Evelyn) and Harley (Leona), both of Waterloo, and Gordon (Anna Mae) of Des Plaines, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Eugene.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo with the Rev. Steve Schmeling officiating. Burial will take place in Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
Friends may call at the Pederson Funeral Home in Waterloo on Friday, Oct 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time if services.
