HAWKINS, Carole I., 69, of N. Main Street, New Martinsville, W.Va., died Thursday, December 2, 2010, at her home.
She was born December 7, 1940, in Wood County, W.Va., the daughter of the late Howard "Ski" and Jennie Winer Hoffner.
Carole was an assistant to the Vice President for First Financial Partners in Wheeling, W.Va., and was a Methodist by faith. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and had volunteered with the Wetzel County Humane Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Berol N. Hawkins.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennie Lynn (Joe) Sherrard of Williamstown, W.Va.; brother Louie (Judy) Hoffner of Oklahoma; stepson Mike Hawkins; step-daughter, Lou Ann; four grandchildren, Megan Wig gins, Nicole Sherrard and Russell and Anna Hawkins.
Family will receive friends on Sunday from noon to 3 & 7-9 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville.
Graveside services and interment will be held Monday at 11a.m. at Northview Cemetery, N. State Route 2, New Martinsville, with Seigel Fetty officiating.
