Vida Mathis Myrick was the daughter of John and Minnie Mathis. Brothers: Coleman, Hardy, Gus and James; and sisters: Lucy, Vernell and Allie. Vida has 2 sons: Ned and Glenn, and 1 daughter, Sissy (Beverly) all of Arizona. Vida retired as a riverboat cook, and an excellent southern cook I might add. Vida was a faithful member of Springville Church of Christ. She suddenly passed away from complications caused by pneumonia. She is the sweet lady, seated far right in the picture. Everyone who knew her, loved and enjoyed her presence... she had a special gift to make you laugh. She was a wonderful great aunt, and we miss her so much. Vida adored her 6 year old great great niece, Katie, who called her "Vila". So, Vila, just to let you know how much we all love and miss you.
