Mrs. Margaret Nicholay, nee Heisdorf, who died at her home on Wisconsin Street, New Holstein on Wednesday morning, Aug 12th, of heart disease, was buried on Friday morning of last week in the Holy Rosary cemetery. Funeral services were held from the Holy Rosary Church, Rev. Fr. F. X. Steinbrecher conducting the services.
Deceased was born Nov. 16, 1853 in the town of Meeme where she lived with her parents until the age of twelve years, moving then to Chilton where they resided for fourteen years. On March 2, 1885 she was united in marriage to John Nicolay at St. Mary's church in this city, taking up residence in the town of New Holstein. They resided there until four years ago, after the death of her husband taking up residence with her son, John at New Holstein.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert Anhalt and Mrs. George Schwarz of Chilton, two sons, John and New Holstein and Theo of Marytown, a foster son, Leo Walsdorf of Kiel, two sisters, Mrs. John Zech, Milwaukee and Mrs. Anna Zech, Seattle, Wash., two brothers, Nic. Heisdorf, Wauwatosa, John Heisdorf of Driscol, N.D. Three sisters preceded her in death.
