Ray Atwood, 71, Radcliff, died September 28, 2005, at Harrison County Hospital, Corydon, IN, after suffering from Alzheimer's. He retired from the US Army, a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lieselotte Atwood; and a brother, Hendon Atwood. Mr. Atwood is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Shirley & David Hillard, Radcliff; 2 sons, Ricky Atwood, Rineyville, and Gary (Christina) Atwood, Radcliff; his twin sister, Faye (Ernest) Wethington, Campbellsville; 2 other sisters, Catherine Atwood, Liberty, and Gay Bell, Campbellsville; 2 brothers, Earl (Joyce) Atwood, San Diego, CA, and Vernon Atwood, Georgia; a granddaughter, Angela (Ben) Meredith, Morehead; and a grandson, Justin Atwood, Rineyville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. October 1 from Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home, Radcliff, with Bro. Gary Talley officiating. Burial will be in the North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home September 30, 6-8 p.m., and October 1 after 11 a.m.
