Leo married Edith Sibbersen and raised sons Glen and Bob, and foster son Russ DeLonjay, in Lake Township, Wood Co., OH, where Leo was a farmer, school bus driver, and boilerman at a nearby hospital. He raised wheat, corn, soybeans, chickens and tomatoes at different times on the farm.

A life-long member of the Church of the Brethren (COB), he and Edith lived and farmed just across the road from the Lakewood COB at the intersection of Latcha and Lemoyne Roads.

A son of Thomas W. Crago (T.W.) and Maggie Rudolph, Leo bought the family farm from T.W., and they all lived together on the farm until long after Maggie's death. Leo and Edith finally moved to Toledo about 1986 and shared a home with Glen and Florence until Leo and Edith died in 1986 and 1987.
