Annie Loretta Brothers, born Dec. 17, 1920 in Hartsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2011. She led a long, full and eventful life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her very much. She was a member of Union Primitive Baptist Church in Woodville. She was preceded in death by twin infant brothers; three sisters, Roberta Moody, Mildred Brown and Carolyn Basham; and a step-grandson, James Russell Brothers Jr. Survivors include her devoted husband of 30 years, James Russell Brothers Sr.; daughter, June Allen of St. Louis, Mo.; three step-daughters, Deborah Bowen, Susan Stirling and Dianne Karrer; four granddaughters, Danna Fowler, Michelle Hughes and Kimberly Lanford of St. Louis, and Lurie Landry of Tampa, Fla.; one grandson, Sheldon Ross of St. Louis; five step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Douglas Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Pine Rest Funeral Home Inc., Foley.
