Bertha M. Miller, 104, passed away on Saturday morning, July 12, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born on September 15, 1909 in Muncie, the daughter of Charles E. and Veda Muriel (Stradling) Scott.
Bertha graduated from Harrison Township High School in 1928.
She was a member of College Avenue United Methodist Church and was a sixty-nine year member of the Eastern Star.
She enjoyed gardening, dancing and loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Edward L. Miller (wife, Marilyn) of North Port, FL and James "Jim" Miller of Muncie; one son-in-law, Donald Williams (wife, Mona) of Yorktown; seven grandchildren, Natalie Marsh (husband, Keith), Lois Thomas, Debra Hollowell (husband, Dave), Jayne Lee (husband, Dave), Steve Miller (wife, Rochelle), Brian Miller (companion, Marianne Banford) and Kevin Miller; eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and special niece, Mary Broyles (husband, Robert) of Gaston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell W. Miller on April 7, 1973; one daughter, Joyce Ann Williams in 1994; one great-grandson, Tommy Thomas and one sister, Elizabeth Coover.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Thompson Cemetery, Gaston.
