RALPH J. BAILEY, 76, of New Paris, OH, died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on August 14, 1934 in Richmond, IN, he was raised by his grandparents: James & Mabel Bailey. He retired in 1997 after 30 plus years at Johns – Manville Corp in Richmond. He attended Richmond High School, a U.S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict, member of the American Legion in Richmond. He loved NASCAR, Cincinnati Reds, IU Basketball & camping. He coached Little League for many years in the New Paris area and enjoyed his grandchildren in their many activities.

Survived by his Wife of 50 years: Phyllis J. (Juett) Bailey; Son: Randy (Lisa) Bailey, New Paris, OH; Daughter: Brenna Bailey, Centerville, OH; Grandchildren: Brooke and Lucas Bailey. His beloved dog: Abby.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris with military services by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
