"Daniel Harris Schannauer, 74, of Chesapeake City, Md., formerly of Reinholds, died Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Cecil County, Md.
Schannauer was employed at Winnbak Farms, Chesapeake City. He also owned and trained race horses along the East Coast.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Born in Reinholds, he was a son of the late Alvin L. and Laura Moyer Schannauer.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Jane, married to Earl W. Althouse of Mohnton R2; and a brother, Harry M., married to Janet Reider Schannauer of Denver."
