Wilbur Deane Beach, 74, of Zanesville, died at 4:55 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2002 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was born March 13, 1927, at Pennsville, the son of the late Fred and Bertha Bernice Murphy Beach. Mr. Beach was a retired dock worker at United Technologies, World War II Air Force veteran and a member of the Muskingum Valley Old Timers Association.

Surviving are his wife, Clara B. Koska Beach of the home; two sisters, Velma B. (Earl) Wiley of Zanesville and Barbara Ann Brock of Chardon; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Coulter; and a brother, Eugene Beach.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Bolin Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Roy Keyser officiating. Burial will follow at Soldiers Memorial Gardens at Woodlawn Cemetery with VFW George Selsam Post 1058 holding military services at the gravesite.
