LODI, Feb. 9 - Robert Acker, 609 N. School, died last night in a Livermore restaurant after choking on a piece of steak. He was 34. An ambulance was summoned to his aid, but he was prounounced dead on arrival in the Livermore hospital. The death is under investigation by Alameda county coroner's office. Mr. Acker was a native of Lodi, and was a member of the Lodi EAgles and the Bartenders Union. He had been employed as a bartender in Stockton. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Marie Wise, and his father, Sherwood Acker, both of Lodi; his grandmother, Mrs. Belle Cooper, Lodi, and a brother. Funeral arrangements are pending in the Hale & Bawden Mortuary.
