80; of New Albany
Funeral services for Edyth L. Jensen, 80, of New Albany, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial to follow at SCI-Graceland Memorial Park. She died peacefully Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong member of Central Christian church, and manager-cook for 37 years at Mt. Tabor Elementary School in New Albany. She lived life to the fullest. She was known as the "Yard Sale Queen," she also loved to crochet and cook, especially for her family. Edyth was a 50-plus year member of a bunco club, and loved to play cards. She was a huge baseball fan. She especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Jensen; father Elmer Tuell; and mother Josephine (Peters) Tuell.
Visitation will be from 12 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Central Christian Church.
