Services for Mary Bennett Abrahamson, 82, of Polk City Manor Care Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Westover Funeral Home. Interment will be at Resthaven Mausoleum.
Mrs. Abrahamson was born in Boone, where she lived for 53 years before moving to Des Moines in 1957 and later to Polk City. She was a member of the United Methodist Church Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Order of Amaranth, Daughters of the Nile, Social Order of the Beauceant National Flower Show Judges Council and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
She was the widow of Merrill L. Abrahamson, who was treasurer of Iowa for 13 years.
Survivors include a son, Jon W. Of Des Moines, and one granddaughter.
Friends may call after 1 p.m.today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
