David Brent Moulton, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away on February 17, 2011 at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley, California.

David was born May 6, 1964 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Lyman Henry Moulton, Jr. and Anna Mae Tobler Moulton. He earned Bachelor degrees in both Architecture and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. David served as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Italy, Catania Mission from 1984 to 1986.

He made a career in the Mechanical Engineering field, designing HSTA's and other mechanical systems for aircraft. He has worked in Salt Lake City for American Laser and MOOG before taking employment with Rockwell Collins in California.

On September 21, 1991, David married his wife in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they have two incredible children and have made a home in the Salt Lake Valley. He loved math and was an avid reader.

Some of his accomplishments were playing guitar, playing racquetball, and becoming a certified diver. He loved great food and was an excellent cook. His greatest love was spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife, his children, his parents, siblings, parents-in-law, extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Copper Hills Sixth Ward Chapel (5349 West 9000 South, West Jordan) with Bishop Keith Gillis officiating. There will be a visitation held on Thursday prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the West Jordan City Cemetery.
