Josephine was born on Dec. 9, 1925, in Pontiac, the daughter of Edward and Barbara "Ella" (Garber) Kinsinger. She married John Vercler on March 26, 1944, in Chenoa. He survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include her children, Robert (Linda) Vercler of Cullom, Tim (Sonia) Vercler of Gridley, Betty (Rod) McArthur of St. Louis, Missouri and Jeff (Monica) Vercler of Fisher; three sisters, Kathryn Bayston of Flanagan, Mary Chase of Portland, Indiana and Margaret Dell of Seminole, Florida; one very special sister-in-law, Suzy Kinsinger of Las Vegas, Nevada; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one son, Roger Vercler.
Josephine lived her entire life in the Chenoa area, mostly in Pike Township where she raised her family, farmed and raised cattle with her husband.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served in many offices including Worthy Matron several times.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Livingston County Home Extension.
She had a passion for horses, dogs and the farm all her life. She loved her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
