Lafayette L. Sanders, of the 3700 block of Riverside Drive, a retired letter carrier, died Feb. 9, 1991, in a hospital.
Mr. Sanders, a native of Roanoke, retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 31 years. He was a member of Saint John A.M.E. Church and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Beadie Sanders; and a sister, Goldie Woodson of St. Louis, Mo.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Saint John A.M.E. Church by the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Friends may join the family at the residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
