CHESTER NEWS.
Aged Resident Dead.
T. Jefferson Marshall, aged 74 years died at his home in Fairview Tuesday (Oct. 8 1901) from a lingering illness of dropsy. Mr. Marshall was the youngest son, and sole surviver of the Aaron Marshall family, and has been a prominent Representative of Hancock county. He was born about one mile from Fairview and lived in that community his whole life.

In early days before steam was used in land transportation Mr Marshall bought horses in eastern Ohio and western Virginia which he would drive in Drover fashion across the mountains to the Philadelphia market. He had a broad acquaintance and was generally liked and admired by his fellow citizens.

His wife died four years ago and two sons survived . They are George W. Marshall and Darwin Marshall both of whom are in business in Fairview.

The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church. Owing to the absence of the the pastor, the funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 O'clock from the residence by Rev. Hull, pastor of the Disciples church, interment being at Flats cemetery.
