She was born December 8, 1925 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Arthur and Mabel Schoenburger Thoms. She married Donald E. Anderson on February 14, 1953. Surviving are her husband of Kankakee, IL; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald II and Karen Anderson, and Kirk Anderson; three daughters , Judy Ashby, Carole Anderson and one son-in-law Richard Brandenburg, Melody Anderson; one sister, Marilyn Behrens; her grandchildren, Lisa Ziegler, Donna Pelham, Michele Shockey, Ronda Sturm-Demir, Ronnie and Michelle Sturm, Melissa and Brian Pollard, Emily Anderson, Christina Mackiney, Michelle Anderson, Brittany and Mike Pote, Bethany Lear, Patrick Mackiney, Garrick Mackiney, Kendrick Mackiney, Brandon Alesky, Matthew David Anderson, Branden Lear, Michael Ashby, Christopher Anderson; her great-grandchildren, Valerie Pollard, Jonathan Pollard, James Pollard, Michael Ashby, Samantha Alesky, Laura Sturm, Kimi Sturm, Joshua Demira, and Margaret Ziegler; her great-great grandchildren, Lita Hernandez and Angel Hernandez. She is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Laura Pelham; one son-in-law, Albert Ashby; and one brother-in-law, Harold Behrens. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. â€" 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Visitation will also be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund.
