Services 10 a.m. Friday, Hillside Funeral Home
West.
Survivors: Wife, Rosie of Wichita; Sons, Rocky of Hutchinson; Alan, Martin, both of Wichita; Daughters, Cathy Gooch of Berrington, R. Marlene Warren of Wichita; Brother, James of Wichita; Sister, Mary Spencer of Valley Center; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Harold was married to Helen Mahannah on August 24, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas. They had two children, Rocky and Cathy. The couple divorced in December of 1956.

Second marriage was on March 8, 1958 to Rosalie.

Dad wrote his work history. Work was very important to him.

Harold worked at Boeing in final assembly electrical at 16 years of age.

He was driving a truck in Colorado during WWII at the age of 16; drivers were scarce then.

Drafted into Army and transferred to Air Force after basic training. Joined the Air Corps at the age of 17. (About Sept 1944) Served in 101st Weather after training, for 16 months, then discharged as war was over.

Went into plumbing after the war, and worked in the trade for 16 years.

In 1961 he went to work as a maintenance man (boilers and etc.) at the new Heights High School.

Later went into the heating dept. at the School Service Center. The last two years before retirement was promoted to supervisor over the Heating, Plumbing and Metals. Retired in 1990 at age 63.
Worked for B.O.E. 29 years.
Advanced to Leadman for about 17 years. Supervisor 2 years.
