W.T. Coulter Funeral Service Is Held Sunday

Funeral services for W.T. Coulter, 82, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Methodist church with Rev. Gene Nease, Alfalfa Methodist pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Eakly cemetery.
Coulter, who apparently was in his usual good health, was found dead at his home Thursday afternoon about six o'clock. Two of his friends had gone to visit him and found him dead. He had been seen a short time earlier sitting on the
porch of his home on West Second. He lived alone. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was born March 8, 1878, in Grayson County, Texas, and was married to Julia Kilburn on December 22, 1912, at Waldren, Ark. Three sons and a daughter were born to them. Two sons and his wife preceded him in death. Mr. and Mrs.
Coulter moved to the Eakly community in 1929 where he farmed. Mrs. Coulter died May 27, 1947. He had lived in Carnegie the past 13 years.
He was a member of the Masonic lodge and was active in church work.
Survivors include one son, Chester, superintendent of schools at Pocasset, and a daughter, Margie, of Syracuse, Kans.; two grandchildren, Charles and Pamela Coulter of Pocasset; and two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Mays of Tishomingo and Mrs. Emma Burge, Denton, Texas.
